The 5 Best Free Agent Wide Receivers

These will impact fantasy football the most...

#1 Tee Higgins

If he actually hits the market – teas will be throwing bags of money at him.

He wins downfield, in the slot and in the redzone. The best part? He’s only 26 years old.

But where will he land?

The Patriots make the most sense since they have the most money to spend & a clear need at WR.

The Commanders could pair Higgins with McLaurin to give Jayden Daniels an actual WR room.

And the Raiders also need an outside wide receiver…

#2 Chris Godwin

He was off to a monster start in 2024 before his ankle injury.

Godwin earned 576 yards & 5 TDs in just 7 games. He’s expected to return Week 1 of 2025 – but for which team?...

The Bucs may move on from Godwin after rookie Jalen McMillan proved his worth at the end of 2024.

If this happens – Godwin landing on the Raiders makes a lot of sense. The Raiders new GM was the Bucs former assistant GM.

And there’s also the Tom Brady connection for Godwin…

#3 Stefon Diggs

He tore his ACL in 2024.

But he was having a solid season – averaging 62 yards per game before injury. And before 2024 – Diggs had 6 straight 1000-yard seasons.

But where will he land in 2025?

It’s a tricky situation as he’ll be 31 years old coming off a torn ACL.

There’s a chance the Texans bring him back as they won’t have Tank Dell in 2025. But Diggs also makes sense for the Patriots.

However…

The Rams are an interesting landing spot. LA has expressed interest in trading Cooper Kupp and his $30 million salary.

They could get cheaper at the position by signing Diggs at roughly half the cost…

#4 Amari Cooper

He had a frustrating 2024.

Cooper started the year with awful QB play from Deshaun Watson. Then he was traded away right before Jameis Winston revived the Browns offense.

But that’s not all because in his 2nd game with the Bills he injured his wrist & never consistently saw the field.

Despite turning 31 this year, Cooper still has the ability to be a #2 option for a team.

Here are some possible landing spots:

  • The Bengals if they don’t bring back Higgins.

  • The Patriots could sign Higgins AND Amari.

  • The Chargers need an outside WR to pair with Ladd McConkey…

#5 Keenan Allen

He’s turning 33 this year – which is a bit of a red flag.

But Allen was still solid in 2024 earning 121 targets over 15 games. He proved he can still win out of the slot and on key downs.

Now where will he land?

  • The Rams make some sense if Kupp is traded away

  • The Bengals could be a fit whether they re-sign Higgins or not

  • The Steelers need an inside compliment to George Pickens on the outside

Honorable Mentions:

  • Marquise Brown

  • DeAndre Hopkins

  • Elijah Moore

  • Darius Slayton

  • Diontae Johnson

That’s all for now gang!

I’ll be back next week to discuss the Top Free Agent RBs that will impact fantasy football the most…
