Week 12 Fantasy Football News To Know
Read this Before Week 12 begins...
Hey there!
As always - I’ve spent a few hours reading injury reports this week so you don’t have to.
Here are the 20 most important takeaways for your fantasy leagues in Week 12:
DeVonta Smith is OUT
He’s dealing with a hamstring injury & could miss more time. Expect Jahan Dotson & Johnny Wilson to see more snaps.
Dotson is the direct replacement & player to add in deeper leagues…
Isiah Pacheco is OUT
Kareem Hunt is a must start this week. He’ll face the Panthers who allow the most rushing yards per game.
Expect Pacheco to return Friday against the Raiders…
Brock Purdy is OUT
The injury is to his throwing shoulder – making this a real concern moving forward. QB Brandon Allen will start for San Francisco.
Allen has completed just 57% of his career passes...
Mike Evans is questionable
But he was able to practice all week. Evans has 3 Top 10 finishes in his 5 completed starts. If he plays – he’ll take on the Giants #16 ranked secondary…
Malik Nabers is questionable
Nabers didn’t practice on Friday with a groin injury. This appears to be a new injury – which is never good mid-week.
Nabers status is truly up in the air – have a replacement ready…
Ladd McConkey is trending to play
He didn’t practice on Thursday with a shoulder injury – but was able to practice Friday. McConkey plays on Monday night – his Saturday practice report will be key.
Add Quentin Johnston or Rashod Bateman if you can as replacement options…
CeeDee Lamb will play
He was able to practice in full after missing Thursday’s practice. Lamb is dealing with a back/foot injury – and poor QB play.
He’s still a must start this week against the Commanders...
George Kittle will play
He’s battling a hamstring injury - but he practiced in full on Friday. Kittle will play with backup QB Brandon Allen. He’s still a start and Top 10 TE this week…
D’Andre Swift is questionable
But he was able to practice in full on Friday. Swift says he’ll play – but he did lose significant work to Roschon Johnson last week.
Johnson played a season-high in snaps & handled the goal-line + 2 minute work…
Alexander Mattison is doubtful
And so is Zamir White. Ameer Abdullah will start if both are out. Add Adbullah and rookie Dylan Laube in deeper leagues…
Keenan Allen is questionable
He popped up on Friday with an ankle injury – but expects to play. Allen has earned 6+ targets in 4 straight games.
This week he faces the Vikings - who allow the 5th most receiving yards per game…
Sam LaPorta will play
He missed last week with a shoulder injury. But LaPorta was playing well before this injury with three Top 10 finishes in his last 5 games.
LaPorta is a start this week against the Colts…
Adam Thielen will play
He’s an older WR returning from a serious hamstring injury. There’s a chance Thielen is limited in his return against the Chiefs.
Thielen is averaging 4 targets per game this season…
Jake Ferguson is OUT
Luke Schoonmaker & Brevyn Spann-Ford filled in for Ferguson last week. Schoonmaker ran 31 routes & earned 10 targets. Spann-Ford ran 24 routes & earned 5 targets…
Tyjae Spears is OUT
Tony Pollard averaged 25.7 opportunities per game from Weeks 7 to 10 with Spears out. Expect a larger workload for Pollard in Week 12 against the Texans.
Houston ranks 21st against the run…
Jonathon Brooks will play
The Panthers rookie RB is expected to make his season debut. But coach Dave Canales stated Chuba Hubbard is still the ‘starting point’
Expect a limited role for Brooks in a tough matchup against the Chiefs…
Jalen Coker is questionable
He didn’t practice on Friday with a quad injury. Coker earned 8 targets before the bye week – but is now at risk of missing Week 12.
And either way his role could be reduced with Adam Thielen returning…
Brandin Cooks is questionable
He’s been out since Week 4 with a knee injury. It’s difficult to get excited about a potential return with Cooper Rush at QB.
Cooks is only an add in super deep leagues…
That’s all for now gang!
