Your Week 3 Waiver Wire Guide

Use this before you add anyone...

Hey!

Week 2 is over and a lot just happened.

Here’s your reminder for today:

Don’t overspend on waivers - save your budget for impactful RBs.

Here are the 3 running backs to add after Week 1 (with some deep league options after):

#3 Kansas City RBs

Isiah Pacheco left Week 2 with an ankle injury and was seen on crutches after the game.

Both Carson Steele & Samaje Perine are available in over 95% of leagues.

Perine is a veteran back who ranked 2nd in yards per touch in the NFL last season.

Expect Perine to be trusted in pass-protection over the rookie Steele.

But Steele is still interesting because he's 230 pounds and should earn redzone work Steele was also a productive college player - with a 1700 yard season on his resume.

Both guys are priority adds but I should note that Clyde Edwards-Helaire could return in 2 weeks...

#2 Ty Chandler

He's available in 71% of leagues and just produced 82 yards on only 10 carries.

Aaron Jones left in Week 2 - but was able to return to the game.

However - this is the concern with Jones - he's nearly 30 years old and battled injuries most of last season.

Chandler could be the more durable RB in Minnesota as the season goes on.

He's a fast and dynamic back who had 3 explosive runs in Week 2…

#1 Antonio Gibson

He's available in 84% of leagues Look - this is Rhamondre Stevenson's backfield in New England as he played 72% of the snaps in Week 2.

But here's why Gibson is appealing - The Patriots rush offense looks great under new play-caller Alex Van Pelt.

Van Pelt was the former Browns offensive coordinator and had seasons where both Nick Chubb & Kareem Hunt were fantasy relevant.

We may be getting that now in New England because Gibson was able to total 100+ yards in Week 2.

If this run game stays strong - Gibson can be a weekly FLEX option with even more upside if Stevenson misses time…

Deep League Options:

  • Cam Akers: Dameon Pierce is injured & Joe Mixon was banged up in Week 2

  • Jaylen Wright: Raheem Mostert & Jeff Wilson are injured

  • Julius Chesnut: Tyjae Spears left Week 2 with an injury

But these names aren’t enough to actually help you win on the waiver wire this week.

You need a complete list of waiver wire rankings - and luckily I’ve built those for you to use. I just sent them out to 15,000 other fantasy players just like you.
