Week 5 Players You Should Trade For...
Send these trades in your league ASAP...
Hey!
It’s Trade Thursday and here are the 3 best buy-low trade targets after Week 3:
#3 Josh Jacobs
People are frustrated with Jacobs right now. And it's for 2 big reasons:
First - Jacobs hasn't scored a TD this year. This has resulted in him finishing outside the Top 20 RBs every week this year.
But that doesn't mean he's playing poorly.
Jacobs already has 2 games of 100+ yards this year. And he's averaging 5 yards per touch. He's actually playing well.
But the real concern is his competition...
Back up Emanuel Wilson has been playing more. He's a good player - but still the clear #2 RB in this backfield.
In Week 4 - Jacobs played 61% of the snaps & earned 65% of the backfield opportunities. And one more thing...
Jacobs has 9 targets in 2 games with Jordan Love.
That's strong work compared to the 1 target he saw in 2 games with Malik Willis.
Jacobs is still a Top 35 overall player in fantasy…
#2 Brandon Aiyuk
Across 4 games – Aiyuk has totaled just 167 scoreless yards.
This places him as the WR68 in fantasy behind guys like Ray-Ray McCloud and Rashod Bateman.
Not great – not great at all gang…
But we talked about this last week – we have a large multi-year sample of Aiyuk being an elite WR.
He just dropped over 1300 yards in this same offense last season and now Brock Purdy is playing even better than he did in 2023.
Purdy currently ranks #1 in completion percentage over expected and #3 in EPA per drop back behind only Josh Allen & Jayden Daniels.
Expect Aiyuk to begin producing soon and now is the time to send those buy low offers before he plays the Cardinals in Week 5.
Arizona allows the 2nd most receiving yards per play this season…
#1 Jaxon Smith-Njigba
He’s currently the WR22 in expected fantasy points but just 39th in actual points.
This means his role is great - but the points haven’t followed… yet.
Sometimes these expected points don’t matter if your offense/QB is bad but that’s not the case for JSN.
Seattle ranks 11th in offensive efficiency and Geno Smith is 2nd in completion rate completing 72% of his passes this year.
JSN has had a solid role this season. We are seeing more getting designed plays and plenty of motion for him.
Now is the time to buy low before his upcoming schedule of good matchups against the Giants – Rams and 49ers twice…
But before you go - I wanted to share my best Underdog play for this week.
I’m combining 2 guys we discussed above because the market is too low on them:
Jacobs to score a TD
Aiyuk MORE THAN 57.5 yards
