Your Week 9 Waiver Wire Guide

Read this before you make any waiver wire moves...

Hey!

Week 8 is over and there’s important info you need to know.

Let’s break down the Top 5 adds on the waiver wire right now - plus some other names to consider:

#5 Cedric Tillman

He's still available in over 80% of leagues.

Tillman played 90% of the snaps & earned 9 targets in Week 8. This led to 99 yards & 2 touchdowns in his 1st game with Jameis Winston.

And over the past 2 weeks without Amari Cooper - Tillman has earned 15 catches for 180 yards and 2 TDs. But that's not all because...

Tillman earned 40% of the Browns air yards in Week 8. This downfield usage leads to explosive plays - which is massive for fantasy scoring.

Tillman has real league winning upside. Add him & then try to pick up this next WR:

#4 Parker Washington

The Jaguars 2nd year WR has become appealing all of a sudden.

Jacksonville lost all 3 of their starting WRs to injury in Week 8.

Christian Kirk suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. Brian Thomas is uncertain for Week 9 with a rib injury. And Gabe Davis left with a shoulder issue & did not return.

Washington is trending to start in Week 9. He had solid size/speed and he flashed as a rookie last year... Like Week 13 of 2023 when he produced 18 points.

Add Washington and this next guy:

#3 Keon Coleman

He's now produced in back-to-back games.

In Week 7 - Coleman topped 100 yards and showed a new wrinkle to his came by producing after the catch. And in Week 8 this production continued...

Coleman led the Bills WRs in snaps on Sunday. This led to Keon catching 5 balls for 70 yards & 1 TD. He's now scored 18+ points in 2 straight games.

But this production won't remain consistent. Amari Cooper will be more involved in future weeks.

But the good news? We are seeing a 21-year old rookie develop his game. That's a great sign.

Add Coleman if you can - then grab this next WR:

#2 Elijah Moore

Yes - another Browns receiver is worth adding. Moore is available in 98% of leagues.

In Week 8 - he led the Browns with a 32% target share. This translated to an 8 catch day for 85 yards. But we must point out a few things...

The Browns were facing the Ravens - who allow the most passing yards per game. And Cleveland threw 41 times in this game - which won't always be the case.

However...

A 32% target share from Moore is something we can't ignore - especially given how good the offense looked in Week 8.

Add Moore and this next rookie:

#1 Ricky Pearsall

He had a solid Week 8.

Pearsall totaled 77 yards on 5 touches - with Jauan Jennings was out. But this needs even more context because...

Deebo Samuel left Week 8 with a rib injury. There's a chance Pearsall is leaned on even more moving forward. He's available in over 70% of leagues still.

Pearsall is a fantastic route runner. He was able to win both out wide and in the slot in college. And he's also a great athletic - running a 4.41 40-time at the NFL combine.

Add Pearsall - and consider these next guys:

More Names to Consider:

  • Jerry Jeudy

  • Tyrone Tracy

  • Braelon Allen

  • John Metchie

  • Kayshon Boutte
